Head of Engineering (m/f/d)

Your areas of responsibility:

• Lead the Global Engineering & Manufacturing Network (GEM) with the goal to create common standards within the fluids and grease community to realize high synergies
• Mid- and long-term Capex planning in line with business targets and best practices
• Share best practice across affiliates by establishing adequate working formats and structures as well as ensuring proper access and availability of common information
• Improving the efficiency of production technology by evaluating the latest technologies and defining relevant projects
• Establish global EH&S standards together with the EH&S team
• Define and implement global IT system landscape within the GEM in close collaboration with the global Supply Chain organization based on “core” and “non-core” elements

Qualifications we are looking for:

• Successfully completed master’s degree, preferably in chemistry, chemical process engineering, manufacturing engineering, engineering, or comparable qualification
• Work experience in chemical industry or engineering matrix organizations 
• Leadership experience with direct and indirect leadership
• Experienced in planning and building new plants as well as running a production plant or at least a production unit within a plant
• Encouraged by the idea of actively changing and shaping the work environment
• Analytical and conceptual skills with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Persistent person with excellent communication skills and persuasiveness through different hierarchical levels in matrix organizations
• Excellent English skills, German desirable 
• Willingness to travel internationally
