Senior Material Planning Specialist
Location: İzmir
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related fields,
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in material planning,
- Upper-Intermediate level of English (written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel,
- SAP knowledge is an asset,
- Strong sense of responsibility with the ability to take initiative and make quick decisions,
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and a strong team player,
- Strong analytical and project management skills,
- Effective communication and follow-up skills,
- Good time management and prioritization skills,
- Residing in İzmir.
***Position will be based in İzmir Aliağa Plant.
Your areas of responsibility:
- Ensuring timely product shipments by executing production without raw material shortages, in the required quantities and on schedule,
- Monitoring raw material requirements on a regular basis in line with annual, monthly, and weekly production plans; identifying materials that need to be purchased and communicating relevant details (e.g., quantities, delivery dates) to the procurement team; creating purchase requisitions in SAP,
- Tracking the procurement process of raw materials from order placement to stock entry based on lead times and production rates; taking necessary actions in case of potential issues and alerting the Procurement Department regarding overdue items,
- Identifying the root cause of delays in raw material availability for items missing in the daily production plan and coordinating with relevant departments to ensure timely release of raw materials to usable stock,
- Based on annual, monthly, and weekly sales budgets and production plans, preparing a 1+5 rolling Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Report by forecasting raw material needs for future months with unconfirmed orders, and sharing it with the Procurement Department,
- Identifying dead or slow-moving raw material inventory and publishing updated stock levels at regular intervals; requesting input from relevant departments for evaluation or consumption plans,
- In case of any disruptions in material supply, informing the Procurement Department of potential actions to avoid delays in production and customer shipments; following up on the execution status of such actions.
- Responsible for the creation of new material codes and the setup of corresponding material master data in SAP; executing revisions to master data as required,
- Ensuring ongoing maintenance and accuracy of all material codes within the SAP system.
- Performing master data updates including material block/unblock processes, distribution channel definitions, and shelf-life changes, based on business requests,
- Preparing mandatory regulatory reports, including monthly EMRA (Energy Market Regulatory Authority) reports and the Annual Operating Chart,
- Providing support to other planning processes when required.
