Product Manager - Automotive Aftermarket

Sales Engineer & Product Management - Automotive Aftermarket 

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Sales Engineer with Product Management – Automotive Aftermarket business to make our business grow. You will be dedicated to creating and applying an effective sales strategy.

This role will perform strategic sales development and marketing activities for Automotive Aftermarket lubricants used in specific industries, such as engine oil, mission oil, gear oil, service products, and other demanding lubricant applications.

The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with customers and partners.

This role will allow YOU to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

 

Roles & Responsibility

1. Sales & Strategy

  • Developing for both new and existing business areas, sales markets, and products
  • Developing and implementing business strategies/plans and overseeing the development and distribution of marketing materials. Product/Brand Management
  • Conducting research to define targeted customer segments and determine the key values that drive buying behavior
  • Driving product launching and management with global/regional product management team
  • Managing stock level by co-work with SCM/Procurement team

2. Technical support & training

  • Training distributors and workshop customers
  • Technical inquiry support from distributors/end-users

3. Marketing communication & Brand awareness

  • Partnering with product development and marketing teams to ensure that customer needs/values are incorporated into product design, branding, and marketing approaches
  • Developing product/brand positioning, associated marketing themes, and media channels that align with target customer demographics
  • Managing and maintaining an official e-shop
  • Yearly budget management/execution for catalog/flyer/SNS maintenance, etc.

 

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of sales experience (5 – 8) years preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred in Engineering, Chemical, or related field)
  • Highly self-motivated and a good team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently with set tasks and priorities to reach targets
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Good presentation skills)
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a clear and concise manner
  • Stress management skill / Project management skill
  • Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager in the Automotive aftermarket field or relevant field
  • Solid technical background with understanding or hands-on experience in the automotive lubrication industry
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • BS degree in Automotive or equivalent preferred
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
