Salary:

FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

 

Your responsibilities:

The Production Operator/Material Handler performs duties outlined in the Skills Matrix with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing required paperwork, reports, and production documentation.
  • Following the production schedule and established procedures.
  • Communicating significant issues to supervisors.
  • Maintaining accurate production records, inventory transactions, and Bills of Materials.
  • Updating raw material inventory using Deacom and performing WMS scanner transactions.
  • Supporting shipping and receiving activities, including material prep and handling.
  • Providing material handling support to production (packaging, receiving, reallocations).
  • Following detailed instructions for specialty packaging programs.
  • Meeting production deadlines while upholding safety and quality standards.
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas.
  • Participating in EHS and cross-functional team activities.
  • Performing additional operations duties as needed within the Skills Matrix.

 

 

Qualifications We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical experience (chemical, electrical, mechanical) preferred.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience (chemical packaging preferred).
  • 3+ years of forklift experience; certification preferred.
  • HAZMAT training/experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow manufacturing work instructions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
  • Solid troubleshooting and decision‑making abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency (ERP systems and Microsoft Office a plus).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with WMS scanners preferred.
