Salary:

 

FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $25-$28 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity. 

 

 

Your areas of responsibility:


The Senior Laboratory Technician reports to the Lab Supervisor and is responsible for the physical testing of routine samples, recording of accurate test results, and performing daily instrument calibrations. The successful candidate will:

 

 

  • Use established methods to perform routine analyses on in-use customer submitted samples.
  • Maintain acceptable turnaround times for routine analyses.
  • Perform testing on other samples as appropriate.
  • Record test data proficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare laboratory reagents.
  • Assist with weekly inventory of supplies.
  • Participate in general housekeeping including routine cleaning and maintenance of instrmentation and equipment, and perform other duties as requested by management.

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering or related field is required.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a lab environment, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, credible, and effective manner to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Industrial technical service and/or field support experience.
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented environment in order to provide the best possible service to customers. 
  • Knowledge of wet chemistry and various analytical testing techniques. 
  • Approaches difficult and stressful situations with a positive and constructive attitude.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
