Maintenance Manager
Isando - Johannesburg, ZA, 1600
Your areas of responsibility:
- Developing and implementing maintenance strategies such as preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptions.
- Driving LEAN and PM activities with the Maintenance team, including Kaizens.
- Leading maintenance projects with responsibility for maintenance related Capex.
- Budgeting and resource management - optimize maintenance costs while maintaining high standards.
- Leading and supervising the maintenance team, including employee development.
- Conducting inspections and audits of machinery and facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborating with other departments such as Production, Quality Assurance, and Health & Safety to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
- Responding to emergencies such as equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions promptly.
Qualifications and Skills we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 10 years’ experience in maintenance with at least 3 to 5 years in management.
- Government Certificate of Competency for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
- Technical report writing will be an advantage, good knowledge of HSE and Government Regulations required.
- Proficient in computerised maintenance management systems.
