EHS Specialist
Location:
Isando - Johannesburg, ZA, 1600
Your areas of responsibility:
- Ensure EHS risk assessments are conducted and managed to reduce risk profile.
- Ensure compliance obligations are understood and met by the organisation.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies on compliance matters.
- Promote a zero-harm culture and develop procedures and best practices to improve EHS performance.
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by conducting field and site inspections.
- Conduct both internal and supplier audits.
Qualifications and skills we are looking for:
- Degree or Diploma in Health and Safety Management/ Risk Management is essential.
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Internal or Lead auditor qualifications are required (IATF 16949 auditor advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience in EHS function.
- GHS (Globally Harmonized System) experience required.
