Pay Range:

FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $19 - $21 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity. 

Your Responsibilities:

• As a member of the FUCHS Smart Services (FSS) team, you will be part of a driven community focused on providing our customers with world-class solutions that help push our customers forward. The FUCHS Smart Services Technician in Iron Station, NC, is responsible for the care and maintenance of our client’s industrial fluids including wash and waste fluids. The schedule is on day shift Monday-Friday, Full Time hours with occasional weekend overtime. 

Additional responsibilities include:

• Collect samples from industrial fluid systems and perform laboratory testing, making corrections based on results
• Check and record system fluid levels, maintaining the proper fluid level on each system including lube inspection points on equipment
• Perform routine preventative maintenance including filter changes and system cleaning
• Follow procedures and adhere to all customer and safety requirements
• Participate in daily communication meetings with site supervisor and communicate effectively
• Daily record keeping of all tests and operational data in a web based system
• Material handling (including forklift operation)
   

Qualifications we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• +3 years of experience working in a manufacturing / industrial environment 
• Related service experience in fluid systems and chemical industry preferred
• Mechanical aptitude is an asset
• Previous forklift experience is desired
• Basic computer knowledge/ability to navigate the internet & email
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs as well as standing and/or walking for approximately 4-8 hours daily
