WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The Fluid Service Technician is responsible for the care and maintenance of our client’s industrial fluids, including coolants, oils, wash, and waste fluids.
This may include sampling, testing, fluid additions, adjustments, and care of any additional fluid-related equipment, such as filter systems or waste systems.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, adept at managing their own time, and able to follow procedures and policies.
Scheduled Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, some overtime may be required
Additional responsibilities include:
- Collecting samples from each fluid sump for analysis
- Conducting laboratory testing per procedures & making corrections based on testing results
- Maintaining the proper fluid level on each system at the customer site
- Input and communicate data
- Draining the fluid sump, remove any sludge/chips contamination, power wash the fluid tank, recharge the system with Fresh solution or premixed fluid.
- Follow procedures and adhere to all customer and safety requirements.
- Participating in daily communication meetings with the Supervisor and communicating effectively with the site leader and customer
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting, OR production/warehouse/machine shop environment
- Stand for a majority of a shift for approximately 4-8 hours and walk several miles daily
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs when required
- Bend/crouch/stoop and dip regularly to obtain samples
- Don and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Basic computer knowledge/ability to navigate the internet & email
