Process Engineer

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Process Engineer will provide leadership and technical skills and abilities to drive daily operations and improvements, while also supervising all hourly employees and contractors working the dayshift hours at the site.
- Work with management and Supply Chain planning (offsite) to develop and follow a daily production schedule, identify priorities, print process orders, labels, etc., as needed for daily filling needs
- Supervise daily operations personnel, assign resources to priorities, and address issues to the best of your ability
- Ensure employees/contractors follow all required safety procedures including proper PPE, LOTO, confined space entry, elevated work practices, etc.
- Identify process, work process and overall site improvements including input to capital project scope
- Direct daily deliveries/pickups to appropriate areas of the site and assign resources to unload and store
- Maintain records such as daily check lists, inspections on specific frequencies, etc.
- Provide prioritization for maintenance work scheduling, insure equipment is available for work, and oversee daily maintenance execution.
- Use SAP to perform various transactions to support the business. These transactions include, but are not limited to, these areas of the business: Inventory Management, Production, and Delivery
- Help share back up Dispatcher, Evening Supervisor, and Operations manager while they are out of office.
- Perform Cycle Counts of various inventory items, both inside and outside of SAP tracking, to drive KPIs
- Schedule outside carriers for removal of used containers from the site
- Schedule SHE training for employees so that all records are kept up to date
- Uphold Fuchs‘ core values, standards and policies
- Uphold the Union contract
- Help implement and maintain 5S/ Housekeeping Program
- Responsible for environmental compliance in managing waste streams
WHAT WE EXPECT:
- College degree in an engineering or science related field is required
- Develop supervisory skills for future management opportunities
- Computer experience is a must - demonstrated ability or similar ability to use the following software, or willing to learn and master them: SAP, PO/Requisition software, Maintenance scheduling, MS 365 including SharePoint, Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
