Production Supervisor Next possible start date | Huntington


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Dayshift Supervisor will be required to supervise all hourly employees and contractors working the dayshift hours at the site.   

  1. Supervise daily operations and address issues to the best of your ability
  2. Direct daily deliveries/pickups to appropriate areas of the site and assign workers
  3. Maintain records such as daily check lists, inspections on specific frequencies, etc.
  4. Oversee Maintenance Program, which includes all preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and required company paperwork as required per corporate policy on operating equipment, utilities systems, etc.
  5. Use SAP to perform various transactions to support the business. These transactions include, but are not limited to, these areas of the busisness: Inventory Management, Production, and Delivery
  6. Ability to work on computer and learn maintenance work order software
  7. Back up dispatcher, Evening Supervisor, and Operations manager while they are away from site.
  8. Perform Cycle Counts of various inventory items, both inside and outside of SAP tracking
  9. Scan/ File documents both physically and electronically
  10. Schedule outside carriers for removal of used containers from the site
  11. Work with management and production scheduling (offsite) to adapt and follow a daily production schedule
  12. Print labels for daily filling needs
  13. Schedule SHE training for employees so that all records are kept up to date
  14. Uphold Fuchs‘ core values, standards and policies
  15. Uphold the Union contract
  16. Help implement and maintain 5S/ Housekeeping Program
  17. Ensure employees/ contractors follow all required safety procedures including LOTO, confined space entry, elevated work practices, etc. 
  18. Responsible for environmental compliance in managing waste streams



  • College degree in a techinical field is required  
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience in a plant environment is a plus
  • Computer experience is a must
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to do the following tasks, or willing to learn and master them: SAP,    Expensewatch, Manager Plus, Sharepoint, Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint
  • Must be able to work on your feet for up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to climb stairs
  • Achievement focused – enjoys taking on new challenges
  • Ability to work well with others on a task, team-oriented – cooperative and collaborative
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays if necessary. Work for long periods. Must be flexible.
