Quality Technician Next possible start date | Huntington
 

Your responsibilities:

The Quality Laboratory Technician:

  • Works closely with Operations to develop and implement successful fixes, changes practices where necessary to ensure that standards are met.
  • Creates quality documentation and develops SOPs for the facility .
  • Maintains accurate quality documentation.
  • Works closely with Operations to ensure quality processes are followed, documentation is correctly maintained, and implement any new changes or adaptations based on quality review.
  • Uses established methods to verify quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing products; performs calculations to determine adjustments that may be required to ensure conformance;
  • Processes incoming packages from our customers. Sets up the routine analysis samples for the following shifts. 
  • Prepares laboratory reagents; files retain samples in appropriate holding areas; enters test data into our SAP system; files vendor certifications, and raw material and production inspections in appropriate area;
  • Participates in general housekeeping including routine cleaning and maintenance; and performs other duties as requested by management.
  • Supports all quality systems, both development and maintenance, per ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 requirements
  • As a future responsibility, assist corporate audit team in planning, leading, and preparing documentation for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 internal audits.

 

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • The successful candidate will possess a four-year degree in a science field; Chemistry is preferred, but Biology, Physics, etc. will also be considered.
  • Microsoft applications experience (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
  • SAP computer system a plus.
