Salary:
FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $250,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
Your Responsibilities:
The VP of Accounting and Finance (A/F) reporting to the CEO will play a key role in driving our current and long-term financial strategy as determined by the executive management team. We are looking for strong leadership in accounting, finance, and financial modeling. In this position you will be expected to balance a “roll up your sleeves, hands-on” approach with a strong strategic, continuous improvement mind-set and the ability to effectively execute and manage both short- and long-term projects / initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Lead the A/F operations.
- Work with the CEO to set performance and financial goals and attain them through team direction and management.
- Assess, evaluate, and align department structure and capabilities to meet overall (current and future) company strategy and goals.
- Research, identify, and implement new opportunities, tools, and methods to improve existing processes, procedures, etc.
- Develop new policies and procedures related to A/F practices and implement them across the organization.
- Coach and develop A/F team, with an emphasis on continuous improvement, agility, and a growth mindset.
- Collaborate with other executives and senior leaders to brainstorm and develop solutions to exiting or potential future pain points related to the A/F function.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local, regional and federal regulations.
- Create operating budgets.
- Ensure that the company’s financial statements are accurate and complete - review reports from accountants, auditors, and other finance professionals.
- Collaborate with the Global A/F team on policies, processes, procedures, and projects.
- Oversee annual independent audit and other compliance audits and ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with federal, state, and local laws accounting standards.
- Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
- Assist with acquisitions and the integration of new businesses from an A/F perspective.
Qualifications we are looking for:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Master’s degree / MBA from an accredited university.
- 15+ years professional experience working in Accounting / Finance.
- 7+ years of P&L responsibility and budget preparation.
- 10+ years of experience in an A/F management / leadership role.
- Able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Strong understanding of compliance with local, state, and federal ordinances.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong track record as a business partner.
- Strong leadership skills and high level of empathy.
- Results oriented with a proven track record of implementing change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated agility and growth mindset.
Preferred
- A/F experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Digital Mindset
- CPA
- Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting rules.
- SAP/S4 Hana or other comparable ERP system experience, including digital reporting solutions.
