Technical Manager, Surface Mining

Your responsibilities:

The Technical Manager of Surface Mining will oversee product line development and address lubricant related issues in mining applications. Specific responsibilities include:

• Develop a strong understanding of market conditions and competitive landscape in order to prioritize opportunities and achieve growth objectives.
• Support the sales group through application knowledge, product recommendations, technical problem solving, business development assistance, and customer training.
• Manage multiple priorities, make decisions with sound judgement, think strategically to identify opportunities, and lead initiatives.
• Address lubricant-related issues in mining applications.
• Act as “the voice of the customer” to the Fuchs R&D and Technical groups. 
• Travel domestically as needed.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such Engineering is preferred, yet other degrees with demonstrated technical abilities will also be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in surface mining production, equipment, or processing. 
• Knowledge of lubricant application, use, and maintenance practices in the surface mining space.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, make decisions with good judgment, think strategically to identify opportunities, and lead initiatives within a self-directed project team.
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of credibility in the surface mining industry
