Salary:
FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The compensation for this position is $24 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
Your Responsibilities:
Reporting to the R&D Scientist, the R&D Technician will contribute to laboratory operations through formulation and testing activities, and will assist in the execution of various research projects. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on professional who remains current with industry trends and technologies relevant to Fuchs’ business. They will also foster strong working relationships across the technical team, as well as with quality control and operations departments.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). BS in Chemistry preferred.
- Familiar with lab procedures and testing.
- Excellent record keeping and documenting skills, e.g., able to keep a well-organized lab notebook.
- Strong problem solving, interpersonal, teamwork, lab work, and communication skills.
- Able to conduct hands-on laboratory experiments and tests in an organized and safe manner.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must be proficient with computers and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Familiar with patents and raw material databases.
- Experience in Product development and product modifications is preferred.
