Quality Engineer Next possible start date | Harvey
 

Your responsibilities:

The Quality Engineer will work to ensure the overall quality of manufactured products, as well as support development and continuous improvement of key business processes. Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide expertise, training, and coaching in the application of the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology and Six Sigma Lean tool set, including knowledge application of statistics and other problem-solving skills.
  • Create and maintain SOPs for the facility.
  • Work with Teams to ensure procedures are followed, documentation is maintained, and champion changes based on quality assessments.
  • Apply the PDSA (Plan Do Study Act) methodology to company procedures.
  • Analyze quality inquiries reported and implement preventive measures.
  • Use of statistics to evaluate manufacturing and technical data.
  • Support ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements (FMEA & Control Plans).

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • BS/BA in Chemistry or Engineering.
  • ASQ certified quality engineer preferred.
  •    5+ years of experience with process, project and plant engineering areas for specialty chemicals design and manufacturing
  •    Sound problem solving and decision-making capabilities, with strong customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Ability to teach effective problem-solving methods.
