Your areas of responsibility:
- The Logistics Manager plays a vital role in the supply chain team by providing strategic leadership and continuous improvement of the processes for ensuring on-time delivery to our customers. Key functions include:
- Champion the design and implementation of an optimized multiple-site distribution network.
- Develop and rollout consistent processes among warehouses; with a focus on on-time delivery, quality, inventory, and distribution spend
- Ability to establish relationships with all levels of an organization, while gaining and maintaining credibility.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in similar role.
- Broad experience across multiple modes of transportation (truckload, LTL, Intermodal/Rail) in inbound and outbound operations, third party transportation.
- Experience overseeing inventory management, delivery/logistics, regulatory compliance, productivity improvement, planning and organization. Familiar with concept of standardized goals & metrics, measurement of quantifiable KPIs.
- People leadership skills – recruit, mentor, develop and retain talent. 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- 5+ years of experience in terminal routing transportation and demonstrated ability to minimize freight costs through lane analysis and configuration. Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, best practices, and procedures.
- Extensive familiarity with TMS & WMS (SAP preferred) systems.
- Experience with hazardous material and working knowledge of DOT/IATA guidelines and regulations.
- Ability to travel 10-20%.
