The Smart Services Supply Chain Specialist plays a vital role in managing the supply chain of the Smart Services division, supporting both customer and service team’s inventory, and procurement requirements. This position works out of our corporate office in Harvey IL and reports to the Director of Smart Services.
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Inventory & procurement management of FUCHS and T2 products for FSS Supply Chain Services at multiple customer locations in the US and Canada
- Management of the Smart Services MRO process, procuring consumable supplies to support Smart Services programs
- Support new service start-up projects, in vendor onboarding and the development of min/max inventory control plans managed in SAP & Smart Service digital operating programs
- Lead supplier development and price negotiations to ensure cost competitive solutions
- Identifying, introducing, and qualifying alternative suppliers and lead cost saving initiatives to support the Smart Service community
- Lead and/or support other Supply Chain projects as pertains to SAP
Travel is expected to be less than 10% to support customer projects and service start-up activities.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or another related field required.
- 2+ years of experience working in purchasing, inventory planning, or other supply chain role required.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel with excellent quantitative and data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Team and people oriented, professional and displays a “can-do “attitude.
- ERP planning experience required, SAP preferred
- Familiar with Material Master Data and/or Inventory Management modules of SAP preferred
- Solid problem solving and organizational skills
