Demand Planning Manager Next possible start date | Harvey

Your responsibilities:

The Demand Planning Manager reports to the Supply Chain Director, and plays a vital role in Supply Chain, with key involvement in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Master Data Management, and Inventory Accuracy.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited too:

  • Pre-plan analysis and statistical forecasting used to create/measure plan. Inputs include; sales/customer input, new product launch, new customers, product/marketing promotion, historical data.
  • Facilitate/support sales and operations planning (S&OP) activities, meetings and communication.  Ensuring the proper S&OP process flow of information and timelines are being met. being in contact with operations, quality, sales, accounting and other departments.
  • Track/Measure forecast vs actual performance; successfully analyze deviations and lead corrective action
  • Capable of analyzing and refining the demand work flow process that allows FUCHS to successfully deliver product that meet customer expectations.  All in an effort to continually improve the process.
  • Developing solid relationship and communication skills with commercial, customers, team members and functional colleagues. This could include direct communication with customers, carriers, managers and team members.
  • Primary contact for issues related to sales forecast (demand plan)
  • Lead and Support a team of 2 direct reports; Demand Planning and Master Data Analyst Roles
  • Support U.S. annual physical inventories at approximately 15 locations. 
  • Report out and montior for opportunities of improvement of monthly key performance indicators; accuracy and range of coverage of inventory


Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain management, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or another related supply chain field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with demand forecast plan/analysis; supply chain, accounting, sales prespective
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel with excellent quantitative and data analysis skills.
  • Team and people oriented, professional and displays a “can-do“ attitude.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • ERP planning experience required, SAP preferred 
  • Highly organized, detailed orientated and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment (accuracy, timeliness, reliability, adaptability, and responsiveness).
  • Leadership skills to include coaching, mentoring, training, etc.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 5%).
