Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $100k - $120k per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

 

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Credit Manager to lead our credit and collections team. This role involves overseeing credit risk management, optimizing accounts receivable processes, and driving collaboration across departments to support our company's growth and financial health in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Credit Analysts and Accounts Receivable Specialist.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable operations across multiple entities, managing approximately $65M in outstanding balances.
  • Evaluate and approve new customer credit applications, establishing payment terms and credit limits based on thorough risk assessments.
  • Monitor customer accounts, review and adjust credit limits as needed, and implement proactive strategies to reduce overdue balances and improve DSO.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly Bad Debt schedules; recommend and support quarterly adjustments to the Bad Debt Reserve.
  • Review and authorize credit memos, ensuring adherence to company policies and effective risk mitigation.
  • Drive process improvements by streamlining credit and collections workflows, leveraging technology and data analytics; actively contribute to global ERP upgrade project.
  • Partner with sales, finance, and operations teams to align credit policies with broader business objectives.
  • Oversee cash application, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and integrity in the reconciliation process.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, internal controls, and corporate policies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive credit management experience within manufacturing, B2B, or similar environments.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP ECC / S4 Hana experience preferred), credit management software, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, credit risk assessment, and collection strategies.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity.

 

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives in finance.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools.
