Salary:
FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
Your areas of responsibility:
The South Plant Production Operator performs all essential duties with particular emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity. Some of the key functions include, but are not limited to:
- Performs work according to the production schedule provided by inventory planning.
- Informs supervisors of any significant problems, issues, or concerns.
- Completes production records and inventory transactions.
- Updates process documentation (batch sheets) as work processes are completed.
- Updates raw material inventory using computer software (SAP).
- Follows established production procedures and instructions.
- Follows quality and safety standards.
- Meets production deadlines.
- Cleans, secures, and maintains work areas.
- Performs shipping and receiving functions in the South Plant
Qualifications we are looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Technician experience is required.
- Previous filling, compounding, & bulk truck/rail loading/unloading is highly desirable for this opening.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Fork Truck Certification desired
- HAZMAT training (Hazwoper, etc) or experience is desirable, but not required
- Must be able to read and perform manufacturing work instructions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintains a strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing all aspects of the job
- Solid troubleshooting and decision-making skills
- Ability to perform basic computer functions
- Strong mechanical ability
- Teamwork skills
- Computer skills such as SAP knowledge and Microsoft Office are a plus
