The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for helping business partners implement technology solutions in an efficient way by determining the requirements of a product, project or program, and communicating them clearly to development teams. The Business Systems Analyst provides general analytical support across the organization and can understand and articulate key business processes, business drivers, functionality, and requirements. They help craft the physical design to match functional requirements and use cases / user stories and assist with functional configuration, user testing and user training.  They understand and communicate the impact of changes across key business processes and domains.

 

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Partners closely with the Finance and Accounting teams, development engineers, test engineers, scrum masters, and stakeholders to implement valuable new features and solutions within the Finance and Accounting domain.
  • Responsible for automating and improving financial capabilities through software connected to the collection, retrieval, accessibility, and usage of financial data to facilitate department planning and activities.
  • Develop and utilize automated systems in the preparation and analysis of financial applications and problems with an understanding of how the solutions impact other business capabilities and teams.
  • Assist partners and other stakeholders with ad hoc data and reporting needs
  • Translates high level business requirements (epics) into detailed level requirements (stories)- Ensures that developers understand the scope, understands the technical implications of features, provides detailed analysis of business and customer needs.
  • Acts as a team facilitator/scrum master - partners with project manager/dev manager to facilitate/lead sprint planning meetings, project/product discovery, and story kick offs.  Ensures the right people are present for the current discussion.
  • Ensure team communication – captures artifacts in an easily accessible format that is understood by all members of the team
  • Manages and maintain the technical / solution documentation starting from conceptualization to delivery (including use cases/epics/stories, conceptual/logical/physical data models, business process flows, architecture diagrams, SOPs etc.)
  • Act as a change agent and develop a digital culture and mindset for how we approach work 
  • Analyze customer insights, data, and competitive analyses to identify problems and opportunities
  • Break down complex business requirements into iterative releases of valuable functionality
  • Write right-sized user stories to enable technical implementation of functionality
  • Own and lead agile ceremonies including story mapping and story refinement/grooming
  • Configure and maintain system settings and data
  • Assist with physical design
  • Assist with manual user acceptance testing
  • Write documentation and training materials
  • Assist with user training
  • Serve as an expert in and main point of contact for their system
  • Answer questions about the system’s functionality and help troubleshoot

 

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • 10+ years Business Solutions Analysis/Financial experience, building highly transactional web, API and customer facing applications.
  • Experience defining product and technology roadmaps and establishing an execution plan for digital products and platforms.
  • Advanced skills in writing agile user stories for eCommerce capabilities
  • Experience with Jira for backlog, task, test, and defect management
  • Ability to break down complex work into iterative pieces of work for software development teams
  • Experience with API design and testing
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, SAP (ECC/S4 Hana), and cloud based tools (AWS, Azure)
  • Strong leadership, team collaboration, change management skills 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to balance multiple time sensitive projects 
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills 
  • Experience working in Agile software development teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, another relevant field or demonstrated work experience equivalent
  • A sound foundation of Program and Project Management is essential
  • Result-oriented mindset as well as analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Strong communication skills and experience in moderation and motivation of working groups
  • Cultural awareness with the ability to work with a globally/regional diverse team
