Pay Range:

FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $28 - $30 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity. 

 

Your areas of responsibility:

The FSS Site Supervisor leads 2 teams at 2 customer locations in Indiana, managing 5 direct reports. The role’s responsibility is to ensure that site services are executed safely, deliver results, and demonstrate the desired quality. To ensure this, the supervisor leads one team on site while managing the other team remotely with occasional travel to site. On the daily, the supervisor uses a series of online, offline, meeting and supervisory tools to deliver the scope of work. In addition, this is a hands-on role and requires being comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. The supervisor is expected to perform technician functions on a regular basis such as fluid testing, oil sampling, setting cleanout schedules, issuing work orders and coordinating tasks with the customer to assure desired projects are completed.

 

This position is scheduled for day shift, Monday – Friday, with occasional (weekend) overtime.  

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • ensure operational and data collection compliance
  • generate reports and assist team and customer in the interpretation of data
  • facilitate and document a daily site supervisor meeting (DSSM) with the two teams to review safety initiatives, potential non compliances and team objectives
  • schedule personnel as well as review and approval of daily electronic time sheets
  • coordinate ‘back-up’ support and cross train personnel to fill in positions as required during personnel absences
  • communicate actively with customer, suppliers, FSS team, and other stakeholders to exceed site needs or bring non compliances and associated resolutions to customer’s attention
  • participate in quality audits as well as follow up in completion of audit corrective actions
  • lead the interview / hiring process as well as orientation and training of new hires
  • constantly develop your teams’ capabilities and facilitate personnel reviews
  • assess equipment and product condition in the application and initiate dialog with technical experts as needed

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • 2-4 years supervisory experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • detail oriented with the ability to manage and organize multiple priorities
  • ability to travel with occasional overnight travel requirements as needed
  • teamwork, collaboration, and self-motivation are essential
  • proven ability to analyze data by identifying patterns and trends and deriving meaningful in-sights and corrective actions
  • strong computer skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to problem solve 
  • comfortable with physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting 50 lbs, and bending.
  • experience in the lubricants or chemical industry preferred
  • college degree in a technical or business field is desired
