Your responsibilities:
The Shipping Office Clerk will be responsible for performing all duties associated with the preparation of logistical and transportation documentation of international and domestic shipments perform warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. Specific responsibilities include:
- Printing of completed Customer Orders
- Invoicing Orders that ship on a daily basis
- Prepare necessary documentation for the transportation of goods to both international and domestic users
- Maintaining an awareness of and demonstrate proactive support for the department and company’s goals
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external business partners and customers
- Responsible for reviewing Shipping paperwork and performing dock check
- Responsible for coordinating with transportation providers for the delivery of goods
- Responsible for contacting freight companies to schedule freight pick-ups
- Responsible for transferring material from item to bulk and vice versa
- Responsible for updating customer folders and routing guides
Qualifications we are looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year shipping/logistics experience recommended
- Must understand verbal and written directions given in the English language
- Strong computer and communication skills.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and domestic & international cargo distribution
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
