Production Supervisor

Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $82,000 per year, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Your Responsibilities:

• Supervise manufacturing personnel and assign work to support safe, efficient operations and on-time delivery of quality products that meet packaging, labeling, and product specifications.
• Lead continuous-improvement efforts using Six Sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies; partner with Manufacturing Engineering to improve productivity, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, scale up equipment, and implement effective operating guidelines.
• Maintain a safe working environment by supporting equipment upkeep, environmental controls, housekeeping, accident/incident investigations, corrective and preventive actions, and compliance with FUCHS/Nye EH&S requirements.
• Deploy and maintain quality management practices within manufacturing, including employee training, nonconforming product controls, document control, corrective/preventive action and problem-solving processes, and support of the Energy Management System (EnMS).
• Manage day-to-day people processes for the manufacturing department, including employee training, performance appraisals, discipline, staffing levels, and hiring, while providing leadership, tools, and support to the team.
• Review order backlog and finished-product inventory, coordinate manufacturing priorities and repackaging needs, and communicate effectively with Customer Service, Packaging, Shipping/Receiving, and upper management regarding production issues and requirements.

Qualifications we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of experience with SAP; S/4HANA experience is a plus. Experience with label creation is also a plus.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and test procedures, with a disciplined approach to problem solving and the ability to evaluate both manufacturing and management processes.
• Basic math skills and the ability to understand verbal and written directions in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move 55-gallon drums of material.
