Material Handler Next possible start date | Fairhaven
 

Your responsibilities:

  • Read MO to determine required components that are needed at the various automated and manual packaging machines to ensure they are ready for operation to process the daily customer orders required
  • Movement of manufactured product and packaging using forklift/ pallet truck, drum lift, pallet jack, and hand truck and prepare for shipping
  • Maintain required components at various automated/manual packaging machines as orders are worked on as all components can’t be stored in area at the beginning of job
  • Maintain required stock level of components (film, boxes, tubes, ect) in designated Kanban areas
  • Binning incoming/outgoing components/products in correct locations and movement of materials throughout the day
  • Maintain communication with coworkers and the relevant departmental managers to ensure the correct sequence to prepare packaging machines for manufacturing orders
  • Assist/supports team members and readily shares information

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading, writing and computer skills required
  • Analytical & Mathematic skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Some heavy lifting (up to 75-lbs.) may be required
  • Operation of material handling equipment to include but not limited to powered forklift, pallet truck, drum truck, drum lift, pallet jack, and hand truck
  • Eight hours of walking/standing/sitting
  • Pushing/Pulling/Moving of raw material containers and production equipment
