Your Responsibilities:

The IOT Systems Developer designs and Implements systems and technology for the gathering, validation, and analysis and grooming of real-time manufacturing data in an Industrial Automation environment. They will act as a technical and subject matter resource regarding software and hardware systems, reporting functions, and business processes, related to Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).


Responsibilities will include:

  • Systems Creation and Design
    • Create and maintain systems, applications, and databases in support of manufacturing and other real-time process-oriented projects
    • Work with vendors and internal project teams to enhance and maintain key systems, including data collection tools and reporting platforms
    • Determine system and utilization requirements by researching and testing systems
    • Troubleshoot, track, and resolve system operational issues as they are reported
    • Administer configurations for security, workflow, and data integrity
  • Project Support
    • Leader of OT/IIoT Projects: Design, Execution, and Correction/Feedback
    • Coordinate user training and support
    • Documentation of all processes and assets
  • Industrial Controls Program Support
    • Play a critical role in leading OT/IIOT automation and data gathering and analysis projects, using
      • PLC and ladder logic
      • OPC (OLE for Process Control) including KEPWARE and Factory Talk
      • Mesh Networking / Zigbee / Z-Wave
      • SQL Databases
      • PTC ThingWorx
    • Review of systems user security and risk assessments


Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Bachelor‘s degree in Business, MIS, or other related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with industrial automation tools (PLC, OPC, Historian, SQL, HMI)
  • Experience planning projects and working on project teams
  • Knowledge of database and software applications relative to functional area
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, improve, and lead business improvement opportunities
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Automation Engineering Degree a plus
  • SQL / Database programming Certifications a plus
  • OT and/or IIoT Certifications a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
