Nye Lubricants Inc., a member of the Fuchs Group located in Fairhaven, MA, is a leader in the innovation, formulation and manufacturer of synthetic lubricants.  Nye’s lubricants add value to products in a wide range of industries and applications.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Maintains month and year end inventory reconciliations, inventory aging, stock status report, and flash report
  • Responsible for master data entry in Microsoft Dynamics GP including new item setup and bill of material and routing entry/updates related to Engineering Change Orders
  • Supports the standard cost roll-up process and runs applicable reports to identify month end variances
  • Reviews Engineering estimates related to price requests from Business Development for accuracy and reasonableness
  • In charge of estimating new departmental labor and overhead standards annually
  • Supports the planning, preparation and execution of the annual inventory audit and works to understand and report out the root cause of any adjustments
  • Provides accurate and timely cost information in support of business decisions
  • Works with Process Engineering and Manufacturing to identify and correct BOM & routing errors
  • Analyzes variances between actual and standard costs generated by Operations during the normal course of business and develops corrective actions as needed
  • Investigates purchase price variances and implements corresponding corrective actions
  • Prepares reports related to factory productivity and output, overhead absorption, analysis of capitalized variances, inventory days on hand, and excess & obsolete inventory

 

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities given the dynamic nature of the business
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and to represent Fuchs/Nye externally
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong follow-through on tasks as required
  • Able to proactively analyze issues and provide recommendations for resolution
  • Possess sound judgement, business acumen, and decision-making skills

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • 1-5 years of experience in Inventory/Cost Accounting preferred
  • Experience with manufactured goods and raw materials inventories preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF statements, etc.)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics GP is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP. Must be able to multi-task.
