Your areas of responsibility:

The Fluid Service Technician is responsible for the care and maintenance of our client’s industrial fluids including coolants, oils, wash and waste fluids. This may include sampling, testing, fluid additions, changing, and care of any additional fluid related equipment such as filter systems or waste systems. The position is full time with occasional weekend overtime.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Collecting samples for analysis
• Conducting laboratory testing per procedures & making corrections based on testing results
• Maintaining the proper fluid level on various machines at the customer site
• Input and communicate data into and from a web-based management system
• Material handling and operating a forklift
• Transportation and dumping of metal chip hoppers
• Accurately record and report inventory levels of chemical products and waste levels
• Following procedures and adhere to all customer and safety requirements
• Participating in daily communication meetings with the Supervisor
• Communicate effectively with the site Supervisor and customer

Qualifications we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing / warehouse / machine shop environment is preferred
• The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently and good at managing own time
• Stand for majority of a shift for approximately 4-8 hours and walk several miles daily
• Lift a minimum of 50lbs when required
• Bend/crouch/stoop and dip on a regular basis in order to obtain samples
• Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment
• Basic computer knowledge/ability to navigate the internet & email
• Mechanical aptitude is an asset
• Previous Forklift experience is ideal
   

Salary Range

FUCHS offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $25 - $27 per hour,but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
