Key Account Manager, OEM Next possible start date | New York City
 

Your Responsibilities:

The Key Account Manager - OEM is responsible for growing the Aftermarket business by utilizing market research, marketing and sales tools, and developing an overall strategy to grow the business. This person reports to the Business Development Manager-OEM Division.  The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

 

  • Acquires new accounts and grows existing base.
  • Works with distributor representatives to focus on FUCHS.
  • Executes marketing programs.
  • Represents customer interests towards FUCHS and vice versa.  This includes identifying customer needs, evaluating business fit while applying a solutions-based approach to selling to obtain RFQ’s and/or other commerical opportunities.
  • Identifies risks and solves conflicts.
  • Is familiar with FUCHS’ OEM related product portfolio and its applications.
  • Cooperates and collaborates closely with Product Management to ensure customer awareness of related products and their technical requirements.
  • Monitors international markets and trend developments.  Operates in a global network and seeks to understand what occurs in other geographies which can be leveraged in US.

 

 

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Business Management, or Marketing.
  • Supplementary knowledge in finance, marketing, and management is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in sales
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Decision maker with negotiation skills, willing to work under pressure.
  • Strategic vision and planning while being proactive and goal orientated.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Open-minded, diplomatic, team-spirited, and comfortable working with international colleagues.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% throughout the U.S.
  • Experience in lubricants and/or automotive industry is a plus.
