CPM Project Engineer Next possible start date | Burlington
 

Your Responsibilities:

The CPM Project Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our service team pertaining to equipment related facets of the business. This role also leads new projects both within the shop and on location at our customer facilities. The CPM Project Engineer reports to our CPM Operations Manager. The three main components of this role are:

 

Shop Projects: As part of the service Production team, this position will have direct impact on the planning and execution of equipment projects identified.  Skills to include:

  • Critical path analysis, to meet identified deadlines
  • Work with Engineering team to design equipment layouts and configurations.
  • Manage Zimmark workforce and any outside contractors required to meet the needs/timing of the project, including system design, quoting, procurement, and installation.

 

Shop Management:  Primary focus is to manage shop technician work schedules to support ongoing services and projects

  • Supervise maintenance functions of shop related equipment.
  • Manage shop inventories of various supplies.
  • Manage day to day tasks of shop technicians. This includes shop technician visits to customers. 

 

System Maintenance:  Coordinate and schedule personnel and components to ensure system repairs are conducted on site safely and efficiently to our customers’ satisfaction.

  • Document and maintain SOP, work instructions, and keep up to date system configurations.
  • Create maintenance control plans and maintain critical spare part inventories.
  • Drive maintenance initiatives to improve equipment operating performance reduce downtime.

 

Supervisory Responsibility: This position will have one direct report.

 

Travel: Position will be located out of our Burlington, ON office, but extensive travel (>50%) to customer sites in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will be required.

 

 

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline required.
  • 3+ years’ experience leading projects from design and quoting to installation, testing and sustainability.
  • Advanced organization skills with the ability to manage many concurrent projects.
  • Supervisory skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Intermediate MS Office Skills (training to be provided)
  • Critical Path analysis of projects.
  • Ability to work independently and/or within a team environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills are required.
