Innovations are the driving force for sustainable growth and an essential driving force for the success of FUCHS. FUCHS has around 500 chemists, engineers and specialists in over 20 laboratories worldwide - almost one in ten employees. More than 10,000 products have already been brought to market. They are currently supervising more than 600 research and development projects and are also dealing with the challenges of the future in the fields of electromobility, digitization and sustainability.

In basic research, FUCHS works closely with universities and scientific institutes all over the world. In application-oriented development, we cooperate trustfully with our customers to generate tailor-made solutions. Colleagues with a spirit of research are always welcome at FUCHS. Because one thing is clear: when customer requirements and technologies as well as development cycles change, the demands for expertise, know-how and speed in the research and development departments increase. Whether in the automotive sector, metal processing, the food industry, mining or the development of customer-specific solutions - for each application special prerequisites and requirements must be taken into account and formulations for the lubricants must be compiled accordingly. The aim is to increase efficiency while at the same time increasing product service life, but also to improve energy, process and cost efficiency. Regular checks ensure quality - as do the extensive testing and simulation capacities.

Recently, the number of test facilities at the main plant in Mannheim grew to 50, and at other locations, the number is increasing tremendously.

From laboratory technicians to scientists with a doctorate - FUCHS needs the support of employees at very different levels in the field of research and development. In addition to technical know-how, stamina, flexibility, customer orientation and communication skills one has to be open to work in an intercultural environment.
