The recruitment advert for a marketing position at FUCHS caught my eye because it seemed challenging and different and I was interested immediately – 8 years on…..and it certainly has been!

Having worked previously for much smaller manufacturing companies in the gift and cosmetics industries in design and marketing roles, a global lubricant business seemed like the perfect challenge.

Accountable directly to the UK Managing Director and working closely with the FUCHS Global Marketing team, I work with a team of 3 people here in the UK and am responsible for the visual side of FUCHS UK, plus managing the promotion and positioning of the FUCHS brand and services that we provide. 

Adding value to the product offering is a core responsibility – and Marketing here at FUCHS certainly is a varied role! Constantly seeking new opportunities for the business to succeed in the marketplace, as well as keeping an eye on the competition, and making sure the business is at the forefront of the industry, is achieved through advertising, PR, website content management, social media, packaging, trade shows, sponsorship, printed media, videos, newsletters and product labels.

Moving to FUCHS in July 2011 has been the best move I have ever made – it has brought new challenges and although being part of a large, global structure, ideas can be put into practice without months of debate and red tape.  As Marketing Manager, I feel FUCHS show real commitment to its staff and the Leadership Teams’ passion to get everyone to perform to the best of their ability, ensuring they have all the tools necessary to do their roles is certainly refreshing!
